  • Had my first programming test today. It was alright, had the same format as past year papers but the bad part was our time limit has been reduced by 40 minutes! My lecturer had problems negotiating with the lecture hall administrator on the time needed for the test. So yeah, that was the stem of the problem...But at least I'm quite relief that this is over for now. So I guess it's time for me to resume with my ongoing assignments  and revision. Seriously, my life has been pretty dull compared to last year. But then again, I really should start to play safe and quit creating controversies...Lol!

Jon: The new James Bond actor suck!
Me: Hehe...You know, you could be my James Bond.
Jon: Well, yeah I could but there's one thing I have that other James Bonds doesn't have...
    Me: What is it?
Jon: You! I have you for the rest of my life and unlike James Bond's affairs in every movie, you'll always be my Bond girl and I'll never exchange you for the world.

Yes, uni work has been demanding...So looking forward for the semester break already!

  • An act of kindness being betrayed.
A lost of conscience out of the blue.
    Hurt...
    ...Subjected with fear.
    All because of you.

  • Let's face it...I still have lots to learn about Java programming. I was up until almost 1.30 am yesterday, trying to figure out some looping error in my program which has yet to be resolved And I'm struggling with the assembly code concepts being taught in Comp Org. Assembly code is the lowest form of language used by machines as a way of communication. I still do not understand why we need to learn this when we already have high-level languages like Java and C. Sigh, I'll probably need to read up more on that today at the library. Wish me luck...

I can't help but smiling to myself and thinking about you ~<3

  • Bad weather in Melbourne

Gigantic tree uprooted by wild winds in Melbourne.

High winds uproot a large tree on St Kilda Road. (Picture submitted by: Martin Lenard)

100 km/h...That was the speed of the wind in Melbourne today. Large trees were uprooted and tram lines were affected by the terrible weather. At about 7.00 am this morning, a worker was killed after a building frame collapsed on him due to the strong wind. This was followed by a tragic pedestrian incident which occured just after 2.00 pm at Mentone when a wall crashed down, taking the live of a woman who was walking through that lane.

I really do not know what has become of Melbourne's weather lately. A drought took place just three weeks ago (causing bush fires and heat wave) and now this. I mourn for lives lost on this tragic day and pray for a better tomorrow.

  • Apparently today's "Boycott Malaysian Media Day"...Not sure what I can do about that since I'm all the way in Melbourne right now but I guess not accessing NST online for a day would do:-p

It's already the fifth week of uni for me...Time really passes by so quickly. Made new friends during my labs and tutorials. One of them was a guy named Peter and who looked exactly like Jon (Well, more of a younger version of him but yeah, they do look and act alike!). Just being with him makes me think of the times Jon and I had together....I just miss being in his arms so much!

Anyways, there's this friend of mine, L (Not going to reveal her name under certain circumstances) who always tag along whenever I attend my lectures and today while we had our Database lecture, I spot her copying the way I highlighted my notes...It was pretty amusing to me since she followed the exact way I highlighted them, even the highlighter colours I used. Talk about being a role model...Haha! It is funny sometimes how people can get so into your work that they start copying every single thing that you write down even though if it's just for your own reference. We, Malaysians and Singaporeans often refer to this as "kiasu"(literally means "afraid to lose"). Oh well, guess I'll just enjoy this moment of fame before they start drifting away:-p

And yes, that's just another vain picture of me with the hat I bought the other day (just like I promised to show!)...Hehe.

  • I told them,
I told them the truth about her.
I do not know why I did.
But perhaps, just perhaps, I'm tired of her being viewed as the light,
while I am the darkness that stray away from my roots long ago.
But then again, no matter what they think of her now,
will not change the past, nor will it morph their future perceptions.
What they hear now, they might not hear again.
That is how I feel from the tone of their voices.

  • I'm sitting in front of my Mac, fuming over an incident that occurred to me at uni today. The reason to that is all because of you! Yes, you, young woman with your ridiculous American accent (Not that you're American, anyways!) and who kept pestering me to do the Comp Org test for you just so you could pass it. You failed thrice and has now been given a fourth chance...My advice to you? Just practice the quizzes and exercises that our tutor gave us. The test questions have similar pattern to those. Yes, do them for god's sake, instead of leaving those papers unscribbled and untouched! And today, you asked me again whether or not I could give you a hand on the test...All I can say is no. Reasons are as the following:

    1. I could give you a hand, guide you through but NEVER ask me to complete the test for you! You're more like using me instead of seeking for my help. In addition to that, you'll never get to learn if you keep relying on others to do things for you.
    2. I do not want to land in serious shit just because of you! Don't think that the uni administration would let us off the hook just like that and I'm not going to get my name on the bad books.
    3. You NEVER treated me like a friend, anyways!

And yeah, about today when I told you that I have an appointment at 2.30 pm and that I can't help you out then, you really don't have to make a huge fuss over that to your fellow bitches behind my back. ("Oh , she says she has an appointment at 2.30 pm" *Rolls eyes*).  Well yeah, that's the truth...I really had to go for an appointment. So, could you do me a favour and quit rolling your eyes  before they get stuck in between your sockets? If it does happen to you (how interestingly "shocking"), you can never do your weird eye-rolling thing again whenever you start bitching around.  One more thing before you start jumping to conclusions, thinking that I am a nasty, selfish bitch...I'd rather have an open enemy than a fake friend and YOU are NASTY and SELFISH as well! You only tag along when you need help. Frankly speaking, woman, life doesn't work that way and I would highly recommend you seeking professional help if you think that it does and that the world revolves only around you!

Phew! Okay, enough of that entry but I feel so much better now after lynching out at her. Grrr...Yes, yoga class is a must for me tomorrow!

    With pleasure,
    *MyRa*

  • And so, I finally unlock my Xanga...It's been quite some time since I've gotten into trouble with my family (AND my EXTENDED family) for blogging here and so I guess it's high time that I turn over a new leaf, staying out of more issues ahead.

Although, I can't help but feeling a little pissed-off today about my 2nd programming assignment. Well, we are required to write a program to find out what were prime numbers and their examples. Being a newbie in this field (despite having studied IT before during my senior high...), it took me quite some time to figure out the right coding for this program. Though, I managed to pull through this problem. And so, today, while I was flicking through the pages of my textbook, I came across an EXACT coding example. Well, obviously, it varied more or less from my idea but my guessing is that other students would most probably have copied those code down for their assignment, saving lots of time and effort. Moral of the story? Read your textbooks thoroughly before starting any assignment! Who knows? Your assignment questions and answers might be included in those references. I've learnt my lesson and I hope that it will not repeat again...
